PLAYERS of Powerchair Football
As a player of the sport of Powerchair Football in Ireland - I WILL

  • Adhere to the Laws of the Game
  • Promote fair play
  • Respect the match officials decisions even if I disagree
  • Never engage in offensive, insulting or abusive language or behaviour
  • Never engage in bullying, intimidation or harassment
  • Speak to my team-mates, the opposition and my coaches with respect
  • Shake hands with the opposing team and the referee at the end of the game.

COACHES of Powerchair Football
As a coach of the sport of Powerchair Football in Ireland - I WILL

  • Show respect to others involved in the game including match officials, opposition  players, coaches, managers, officials and spectators
  • adhere to the Laws and spirit of the game
  • Promote fair play and high standards of behaviour
  • Respect the match officials decisions even if I disagree
  • Will not enter the field of play during a game unless asked by the referee
  • Never engage in , or tolerate, offensive , insulting or abusive language or behaviour.

MATCH OFFICIALS of Powerchair Football
As a match official of the sport of Powerchair Football in Ireland - I WILL

  • Be honest and completely impartial at all times
  • Apply the Laws of the Game and competition rules fairly and consistently
  • Manage the game in a positive, calm and confident manner
  • Deal with all instances of violence, aggression, unsporting behaviour, four play and other misconduct
  • Never tolerate offensive, insulting or abusive language or behaviour from players and coaches or officials
  • Set a positive exampke by promoting good behaviour and showing respect to everyone involved in the game
  • Communicate with the players and encourage fair play.

SPECTATORS and PARENTS/CARERS at Powerchair Football
As a spectator, parent/ carer at a a Powerchair Football event in Ireland - I WILL

  • Remember that sport is to be enjoyable
  • Applaud effort and good play on both sides
  • Respect the match officials decisions even if I disagree
  • Remain outside the field of play and within Designated Spectator Area ( where provided)
  • Let the coaches do their job and not interfere
  • Avoid critcising a player for making a mistake
  • Never engage in, or tolerate, offensive, insulting or abusive language or behaviour.
  • DISCIPLINARY MEASURES AND SANCTIONS
    I understand that if I do not follow the code any/all of the following actions may be taken by my club, the league committee and the AIPF Board:

    I MAY
  • Be required to apologise to team-mates, the other team, referee or team manager
  • Be dropped or substituted
  • Receive a verbal warning from a club or national official about future conduct
  • Be asked to appear before a club or national disciplinary committee
  • Receive a written warning from a club or national disciplinary committee
  • obliged to leave the club or national association match venue
  • Be suspended from training or attending an event.
